Postdoctoral Positions in Molecular Eukaryotic Genetics

The Functional Genomic laboratory headed by Thomas Gingeras, PhD. is seeking a motivated postdoctoral fellow trained in the area of molecular mammalian genetics. Successful applicants should possess a PhD degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Genomics or related fields.

Applicants should also have proven skills in forward or reverse genetics in human or mouse cell lines and practical experience with the discovery of genes responsible for specific phenotypes or with the identification of phenotypes associated with the expression of specific genes. Experience in mammalian cell culture, gene silencing, next generation RNAseq, basic bioinformatics and extracellular vesicle (EV) biology is needed. This postdoctoral position will involve studies in inter-cellular communication and will focus on efforts to identify genes responsible for the generation of bio-active short RNAs found in EVs, or determining phenotypes of cells harboring mutations in the EV sRNAs.

Position Requirements

Candidates for this position should have a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, or a related field.
