Position Description

A postdoctoral fellow position is available at the Yeh Lab ( at CSHL Cancer Center.

Qualified candidates interested in signal transduction, drug discovery, chemical and systems biology are encouraged to apply. Graduate students expected to complete a doctorate degree in 2017 or early 2018 are welcome to apply. Required relevant experience/expertise should include at least one of the following: signal transduction, protein engineering, peptide chemistry, NGS or functional mutagenesis analysis.

This postdoctoral fellow will take responsibility of conducting independent research as well as collaborate with other members in the group. In addition, this postdoctoral fellow will be well exposed to several collaborations between the Yeh Lab and other research groups at CSHL. Potential research projects are (1) developing chemical biology methods/platforms for biomolecular engineering and drug discovery; (2) biomolecular engineering for cancer immunotherapy or targeted therapy (3) characterizing the mechanisms by which drug candidates modulate the dynamics of cell surface receptors and signaling pathways.

Position Requirements

Qualified candidate should have a doctorate degree, at the time of appointment, in the fields relevant to biology or chemistry. Required relevant experience/expertise should include any of the following: signal transduction, protein trafficking, microscopic imaging, biochemistry, chemical biology, protein/peptide chemistry, drug discovery or delivery.
